Biography

A recognized Master Teacher and expert in vocal rehabilitation, Nancy Adams has taught privately in New York City for more than 30 years, both individually and in a team-teaching format with her late husband David Adams. Their students have sung on international stages including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, New York City Opera and the Maggio Musicali (Florence, Italy). Students in the Adams' studio have performed in solo recitals and concerts with orchestra; in oratorio and sacred music; in regional music theatre, cabaret and Off-Broadway productions; and in television commercial voice-overs.

Teaching Philosophy

Her teaching technique focuses on the healthy functional use of the voice and emphasizes the following aspects to develop a secure singing technique:
