Singing Voice Specialist LISA ROCHELLE is known for her expertise in developing healthy, versatile voices (legit, belt, mix, pop) and for her success with technical problems and injured voices. She brings a 25+ yr. Performing career (Broadway, Off- B’way, Natn’l Tour,TV, v/o), over 20 yrs. pedagogical training and extensive clinical experience to her teaching. Private Students and Professional Classes/Workshops Lisa works primarily with professional actors, singers and dancers, as well as with public speakers and talented non-professionals of all levels who are eager to develop healthy vocal technique. Her professional students have appeared in 50+ Broadway shows and National Tours, Off-Broadway, Prime-time Television, Feature Films, theatres across the US & Europe, and New York Cabarets. In addition to being a Guest Master Class Instructor in Audition and Vocal Performance Technique, Lisa teaches an ongoing Musical Theatre Audition Workshop, semi-annual Belting Workshop, Cold Reading Workshops, a seasonal Acting Intensive and holds Industry Audition Panels at various NY studios, when her schedule permits. Children are occasionally accepted into the studio on a case-by-case basis. All private lessons are taught at her Upper West Side studio. Singing Voice Specialist/Vocology Training** Lisa Rochelle also works in collaboration with medical professionals in the re-training of injured singing voices. MD’s and Speech-Language Pathologists who specialize in treating the professional voice refer patients to her on a regular basis. Her initial Vocology training began in 1982 and continued through the late 1990’s. Subsequent related training includes: - Completion of Vocology Internship at the Grabscheid Voice Center/Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York under the direct supervision of Dr. Linda Carroll, Speech- Language Pathologist and Singing Voice Specialist, and internationally renown surgeon and Director of Clinical Services, Peak Woo, M.D.
- Ongoing Vocology training with Dr.Anat Keidar, Speech-Language Pathologist and Singing Voice Specialist; internationally renown voice expert.
