Leslie Giammanco teaches on the voice faculties of CAP 21, the Musical Theatre Conservatory of New York University and the BFA degree program in Musical Theatre at Pace University. She has maintained a private vocal studio in New York City since 1984 and also teaches in Wells, Maine. Ms. Giammanco earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Southern California and her Master of Music degree in voice performance at Northwestern University. She has been a recipient of many prestigious national opera awards including the Metropolitan Opera Regional Auditions, American Opera Auditions, Illinois Opera Guild Auditions of the Air, and the San Francisco Opera Auditions. Leslie has served on the Board of Directors of NYSTA and is a member of NATS, AEA, and AGMA, NMTA. Giammanco's career spans 30 years having sung with major symphonies, opera companies, Broadway and cabaret rooms across the country. She has sung with New Jersey State Opera, Minnesota Opera, Opera St. Paul, St. Paul Chamber Ensemble, Manhattan Philharmonic (Carnegie Hall), New York Chamber, Minnesota Orchestra, Rochester Symphony, Duluth-Superior Symphony, among others. Most recently she performed seven different roles in Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theatre having performed on the road two years prior with the National tour. A frequent cabaret performer in New York City and nationally, Ms. Giammanco has scored great successful runs at Danny's Skylight Room, Judy's Chelsea, The Duplex, and Steinway Hall.
