Passionate about helping people discover their voices, Dan’s teaching is rooted in an advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology, voice science and mind-body techniques which he uses to guide students of all ages and skill-levels to experience their voices in new, exciting ways. Dan is a member of Actors’ Equity, New York Singing Teachers Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Great singing is always grounded in an intent to communicate. When we synthesize our actor-selves with our technician-selves, singing becomes a graceful and soulful experience.
Whether singing pop, musical theatre, German art-song or Kentucky bluegrass, healthy technique is healthy technique. In pursuit of that technique, I help my students become aware of what it takes for their instruments to function most efficiently, leading them to a place where the body and spirit sing together.
My teaching is rooted in an advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, voice science and mind-body techniques which I use to guide students of all ages and skill-levels to experience their voices in new, exciting ways.
