Biography

Teaching voice for 20 years. Education: Masters in Vocal Pedagogy, Westminster Choir College, BA SUNY Binghamton, Post Grad theory and improvisation, Capital U, Cols OH, Private vocal and piano studies, intensive studies of vocal acoustics, health and mechanism thru NYSTA., Bodywork with various teachers. My performing has included jazz at many clubs and concerts, Classical-Opera and chamber music, Baroque and Renaissance- at Merkin Hall, Lincoln Center, Donnell Library, and various recordings. Singing was featured on NPR's nationally syndicated Millenium Today and other radio shows.

Teaching Philosophy

Patience, Humor, Knowledge, Compassion and Joy in Singing help  students develop a solid, flexible technique, to understand their own unique instrument, be able to sing in different styles should they desire. Traditional vocaleses, body awareness work, breath work, ear training, rhythmic work help make well rounded musicians.

Studio Policy

Studios in Manhattan's West Village and Maplewood NJ. Private lessons, half hour, 45 minutes or an hour. Piano lessons available as well. 24 hour cancellation policy.
