PDP Courses and Webinars

THE OREN L. BROWN
PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM

 Janet Pranschke - Director

"I am really enjoying the Webinars. Thank you for this wonderful resource for teachers who live in more rural areas of the country."
Matthew Hoch - (Rome, Georgia)

"The information I gained from the courses really clarified my teaching. I had a lot of empirical knowledge, but now I know why and how things work. It just makes you a better teacher across the board because you can speak with authoritative knowledge. Besides, the classes are fun."
Adrienne Angel - Distinguished Voice Professional

During this course, six master teachers present teaching demonstrations after case histories of students have been discussed. Concrete links are made between various teaching strategies and the scientific and medical information covered in other courses of the PDP program. Marvin Keeze, moderator.
To make concrete links between various teaching strategies and the scientific and medical information covered in earlier courses it is suggested (but not required) that the 4 other core curriculum course be taken first. Many NYSTA members attend this class every year, taking away useful new studio strategies and greater awareness of their own teaching style.

“Information is only helpful when it stirs our imagination and encourages our creativity.” Marvin Keenze, moderator
